Prologue
It's break time, and Hachiman wanted solitude so he went to the rooftop. Hachiman noticed a miniscule sound, while he was forming a barricade to the rooftop not far from entrance. At the rooftop, Hachiman writes his future career report. It's caught by the wind after he finishes, so he tries to retrieve it. Hachiman eventually gives up and walks away dejectedly. Conversely, Saki caught it and she lazily asks if it's his. Hachiman tries and fails to find her. She laughs in a rotten manner according to Hachiman. He looked up and saw her on the upper water tower section. Saki was leaning on the water cooler, while she was looking down at him. When their eyes met, she put her lighter, which she was fiddling with, in her pocket. She asks if the paper is his with a lazy voice. Hachiman remained silent. She sighs while telling to him to wait. While she was climbing down, her underwear was exposed by the wind. Once down, she glanced at the report. Saki called him an idiot, while almost throwing the paper at him according to Hachiman. She immediately left for class after she knew he had it.[4]

Study Session
The service club, Komachi, Saika and Taishi were together in a building. Yukino heard Taishi's request and problems. She summarized it as family circumstances, and she said every family has them. She accepted Taishi's request as representative for the service club. She reasoned because Taishi is a relative of a student of Sobou High School, and Saki is the one Taishi is seeking advice about, Taishi's request is a suitable one.[5]
“Oh, you mean Kawasaki-san? She’s kinda the scary type.” Yui said
“Aren’t you friends with her?” Hachiman said.
“Well, I’ve talked with her, but… You know you shouldn’t ask a girl that. It’s hard to answer,” Yui said.
“But I don’t think I’ve seen Saki being friendly with anyone,” Saika said.[5]
Failed Attempts
Taishi's request was to discover what Saki was doing and return her to her old self. The service club tried a number solutions throughout the day, but these failed.[5]
Angel Ladder
The service club visited a place called "Angel Ladder" in which they found Saki working at a bar. Hachiman mentioned Saki's name and she replied that she doesn't know him.[2]
"You're in the same class and even she can't remember your face. Only you Hikigaya-kun." Yukino said.
Saki showed she knew the names of Yukino and Yui . She asked if Yukino and Hachiman were on a date while she was guessing why they were here.
"Don't tell me you're going on a date with this guy?" Saki said.
"Certainly not. If you're talking about the thing on my right, that's not even a funny joke." Yukino said.
Hachiman said Taishi is worried about her because she's been returning home late.
"I thought people had been fussing over me lately. So it was because of you guys. I don't know what Taishi told you, but you don't have to worry. Stay out of my business." Saki said.
Afterwards, she was talking to Hachiman and Yui. Yukino looked at her watch.
"Cinderella's spell wears off at midnight, but I guess your spell wears off now." Yukino said.
"If my spell is wearing off, doesn't that only leave a happy ending for me?" Saki said.
"I wonder about that, Little Mermaid. I think only a bad ending is waiting for you." Yukino said.
Hachiman explained to Yui what they were talking about. Yukino implied Saki was lying about her age, because people her age can't work at night.
"You have no intention of quitting," Yukino said.
"Nope," Saki said.
Saki implied the service club can't help her. They can't get the necessary money, and they can't take the burden her parents could not.
"Just stop there. If you keep talking -" Yukino said.
"Hey… Isn't your father a prefectural assembly member? Someone who has got it as easy as you couldn't understand me," Saki said.
Yukino reacted and knocked down her glass.
Yui reacted and said Yukino's family is irrelevant. Saki retorted that if so her family is irrelevant as she turned away. Hachiman suggests the service club leave.[2]
Fast Food Restaurant
Yukino doesn't talk directly to Saki, but Hachiman was talking the most anyway; he was explaining Saki's motives.[2]
